""Tell your story the way God gives it to you, regardless of what people say."" --Albert Wagner
I was a "Navy brat" so my family and I lived in many places when I was a child. I settled in North Alabama as an adult and worked in several jobs until I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in Communication. I worked as an illustrator until I retired in 2008 to become a full-time artist.
I am primarily a painter working in mixed media and encaustic though I still do some digital projects for my own amusement, which keeps my skills current. Lately I have been following the urge to do some sculptural pieces, which I call "handsy things" using recycled paper, textile and other found objects. My first love is painting but I do find the lure of the 3-D object irresistible at times.
In the last few years I have participated in several group exhibitions around the South East and also participated in local art fairs where I sell my folk art pieces.
